Sweet Summertime

Well, it got above ninety today so it's officially summer. In honor of it being summer, I shared a bowl of chocolate mint chip ice cream with mom (I had a total of about an eighth of a teaspoon of the creamy stuff) and then we went and sat in my little pool till my toes got all pruney, and then I took a nice nap. And the livin' is easy.

Swimming!

Papa went and bought me a pool today (nothing olympic sized mind you, just a little one to toodle around in). Mom and I hung out in it while Papa kept bringing us hot water (he's such a wonderful Papa). Mom poured water on my head, as you can see, and I didn't really like that. Then Papa bundled me up all snuggly warm. Yay for pools! (and Papas!)

Yes, I feed myself now! Yay! But sometimes I drop things in my lap. Oh well.

Getting Some Attention Here!

On Sunday, mom and dad laid me down for a nap. So I slept. I slept for a little while. Then I woke up. When I woke up, I was good. I played, and talked to myself. Mom and dad thought I would go back to sleep, so they just left me in my room. Then I got a little upset, for a little while. Then I went back to sleep. Then I woke up. Then I got mad. Then mom and dad found me like this. Apparently I know how to untie ribbons now.

Lovin' on Pops

I'm trying to figure out this whole "kissing" thing so that I can kiss mommy and daddy back when they give me kisses. As you can tell, I'm having trouble with my aim (my wide mouthed approach could use some work as well).

My New Trick

So I do this new thing with my fingers. I cross them. Check it out. Right hand. Middle finger over index finger. Why? I couldn't tell ya. I just do it because I can.

Fun with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa

After our trip to the San Juans, we went to papa's grandparents' house in Seattle. I had lots of fun playing with measuring cups and pinching the dog. Mom and dad got to eat lots of yummy food, but they still didn't give me any. We've got to work on this.

Our Beach

We had a picnic on the beach at our cabin on Saturday night. I had a great time watching the fish jump while mom and dad ate.
