Christmas Day

Whew! What a busy day! We started off with opening stockings in bed, and then had breakfast (cream cheese danishes! Yum!), and then opened presents around the tree. Then, Grandma Bonnie and Auntie Am came over and we opened more presents (some of them make noise! Yay for me!), and ate more yummy yummy food. THEN, we went to Grammy & Grandpa's house and opened MORE presents and had MORE yummy food! So much fun! Thank you to everyone who gave me such wonderful presents! I love them all! Here are some pictures from the festivities...

Christmas Eve

First, we went to church and I got to dress up in this cute little dress. I'm pretending to be a princess riding my pony.

That night, we went out to Uncle Jerry's and Auntie B's for a wonderful feast and lots and lots of presents. See me here sitting on laps and aiding in the unwrapping and breaking in of presents.

Walking!

I took three steps all by myself tonight! Yay for me!

Helping Dad

I know my parents do a lot for me, so I like to repay them as I can. Sometimes I help mom crochet or make dinners, or help dad install child locks on the cupboards, but today I helped him shoot at all the aliens. This requires a lot of self control on my part because usually I'll just push the green button on the front and that will make all the badness go away, but dad doesn't seem to appreciate that so much, so today I picked up my own gun with cool buttons and I helped him shoot the bad guys (but they kept coming back when I helped this way.....I'm thinkin' I should just go back to the green button thing.)

Birthday Party #2

On Sunday everybody came over to Grandpa and Gramma Oplinger's house and we had lots of fun. I'm very much enjoying being a toddler, and I'm taking my first steps (no pun intended) to walking by myself, and I'm starting to put things back rather than taking them out all the time! Yay! So here are a few pictures from my party on Sunday:

Uncle Scotty decorated the tree and the banister for me so that it would look like a birthday party...

Grandma and Grandpa got me a new toy box to hold all my loot, but I thought it was more fun to hide in!

Great Grandma Becker got me a new hooded bath towel with my name on it! yay!

Here Uncle Scotty is showing me how old I am.

Yummy yummy cake!!

After a while I gave up and just picked up the plate and started licking off the frosting/cake mush...

Birthday Party #1

Tonight was my birthday party with Grandma Bonnie. So fun! I got a rocking horse, and some cool pants and socks, and a pretty pink dress from Auntie Am. AND, I got to eat my own cupcake. Now, when I say 'eat', I of course mean smear it in my ears and hair and on my pants and shirt and face and get it in between every finger and all. Food is an experience, and boy is it a fun one! So then I got a bath and went to bed all clean and happy.

Happy Birthday to Me!

So the big parties are on Saturday and Sunday, but mom and dad had to let me open one present last night, and I picked this one out of a lineup. Yay for blocks! They are SO fun to smash together and chew on.

I love Xbox!

I found Papa's Xbox last night and had a go at it. Those buttons are so cool!

Mom's Li'l Helper

Mom is crocheting scarves for an army this Christmas, and I have been helping. See me here "untangling" her yarn for her.

Way Back When...

When I was an infant, I did silly things (I can say that now because I'm a toddler as of 2:15 this morning). For example, in my last days of infancy, I crawled over to my blanket that was on the floor, and proceeded to put it on my head. I did this for a good twenty minutes. On the head, off the head. On the head, off the head. On the head - well, you all get the picture. Kids these days. Sheesh.

So tiny.

So tomorrow is my one year birthday. That means I get my super-big-girl carseat. The only thing is, I look like a pipsqueak in it. I look like I did a year ago in the carseat I'm in now. *sigh* I'm tellin' ya, it's like you get to the top just to be knocked back down.

Basketball.

"That's a net"

"This is me in the net"

Do we have to wrap them?

Mom brought in one of my birthday/Christmas presents the other day without wrapping it. I had fun playing with the box (translated "on" the box). I don't understand why she went and wrapped it up and put a bow on it.

My Fort

I like to crawl under my high chair and play these days. Sometimes I get stuck, but I'm getting really good at crawling over the rails!
