Playing in the Snow

It snowed! Yay for snow! We were out at Grandma and Grandpa's so I donned my snowsuit and mitts and hat and boots and tromped out there for my first wintery experience.

Here's Dad and Uncle Scotty getting me all dressed...

When Dad first put me down in the snow, I couldn't really move, so I just stood there. My suit was too big for me to even sit down in at first!

I finally made it into a sitting position...

My favorite part was eating the snow. At one point I got down on all fours and just started licking the stuff up. Yum!

And, my first snow angel!

Pictures with Santa

We went to the mall after church today to have pictures with Santa. I did not like Santa. He made me cry.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. I loved all the food I got, but the mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie with whipped cream are vying for first place. We had eleven people plus me, and it was very crowded, as you can see in the pictures. All in all, a good time!

What she's doin' now

No pictures this time, but I want to let you know all the fun things I'm doing now! I am clapping, I'm shaking my head (although I don't quite know that it means "no" yet), I do this fun little 'blub-blub-blub' thing with my finger and my lip, I play run away games with mom and dad (in which I try to climb up on the couch to get away from them, but it doesn't work yet, so I just squeal), I sing to my stuffed animals, I stand alone for short periods of time, I bend over and lick my food (usually cheerios) right off of my high chair tray (because I'm too lazy to use my fingers), I'm learning my princess wave, and I'm starting to dance when I hear music (which right now just means bobbing up and down). According to family bets, I'm supposed to be walking by myself tomorrow ("by Thanksgiving"), but it's not looking like it's quite going to happen, but maybe by my first birthday. So that's a little update on me. Happy Thanksgiving to all! I get to eat stuffing tomorrow! And potatoes! And sweet potatoes! And cranberry sauce! And cheesecake! And pumpkin pie! And cauliflower gratin! I'm so excited! Yay!

PS - 10 points of extra credit to anyone who knows what the title of this post is a reference to.

Dad's Birthday, #1

On friday Grandma B took the fam to dinner at Wingers (I shared dad's ice cream cake - YUM!), then we came home and opened presents. The first picture here is from when I 'helped' mom wrap dad's present, and then the second is after mom put the bow on my head. As you can all see, I had a greeeaaaaaaaat time.

Chiropractors, here I come!

I was sick.

Last week I had a fever and I was very mellow. We sat on the couch a lot last week (pictured here). Then I got a runny nose and cough and passed it all on to mom and dad. I'm just generous that way.

Halloween Festivities

Mom and Dad took me out to Grandma & Grandpa's in Troy for Halloween. I greeted lots of little spidermen and skeletons and fairies (even an iPod). I was a Little Bee and did quite well with my costume. I tried to take my headband off a couple of times, but then I just gave up and humored all the grown ups around me.

"Eating" my halloween candy....

Helping Pop clean out the pumpkin....

And when I was all worn out, I took off my tutu and wings and Grandma fed me.

And here's a shot of my costume...
